Deepak Sankhla

Mr. Deepak Sankhla is Vice President & Head - Finance & Accounts, at L&T Precision Engineering and Systems.  He has over 34 years of experience in various fields of Accounts & Finance.  He is a qualified Chartered Accountant and an associate member of the Institute of Chartered Accountant of India (ICAI), as well as a member of the Institute of Company Secretaries of India and a qualified Cost & Management Accountant.

He joined EWAC Alloys Limited in 1991 as an executive where he worked till 2000 in various positions. Subsequently Mr. Sankhla worked overseas for 7 years, in roles that included Finance Controller and General Manager.

He rejoined the L&T Group in 2007 at L&T Energy Hydrocarbon (Mid & Downstream) in Vadodara, where he looked after the Finance & Accounts function for both Hydrocarbon and Power projects.

He was transferred to L&T Special Steels and Heavy Forgings in 2010 to take charge as CFO of this JV. In this role he was involved in all aspects of the Project, including funding, setting up working capital facilities, dealing with promoters & lenders and related roles in the area of accounting, costing, taxation, budgeting, as well as secretarial functions. He played key role in the financial re-structuring of the JV in 2018.

Mr. Sankhla was transferred to L&T Heavy Engineering in 2017 where he was Head - IC F&A till May 2022. Presently, he is Vice President & Head - Finance & Accounts at L&T Precision Engineering Systems.
